About Me
Find out more about my background, approach, and values as a psychotherapist. Learn how I work and what guides my practice.
I am a qualified Music Psychotherapist (MA, Anglia Ruskin University, 2023) with experience across a wide range of clinical settings—from mainstream and special schools to NHS community services supporting adults with mental health difficulties.
Before training as a psychotherapist, I spent many years working as a musician, tutor, and support worker. These person-to-person roles have deeply shaped the way I connect with clients, fostering empathy, creativity, and a grounded understanding of human experience.
My background as an artist continues to inform my therapeutic work. I see creativity and psychotherapy as closely intertwined—both invite exploration of the subconscious, emotional expression, and the development of a more authentic self. I am passionate about blending artistic sensitivity with clinical skill to create a therapeutic space that is both professional and deeply human.
At the heart of my practice is an appreciation for the intimacy of this work: supporting someone in understanding, accepting, and expressing who they truly are—mind, body, and soul.
My Approach
I am psychodynamically trained and take a person-centred approach, drawing from a range of therapeutic traditions (including humanistic and psychoanalytic). Therapy is always shaped to meet your individual needs, whether through words, creativity, or a blend of both.
I am also trauma-informed and deeply committed to understanding how trauma shapes people’s lives. My work often explores the intersections between trauma and developmental challenges, with particular expertise in supporting those with SEN, autism (ASD), ADHD, and complex needs.
At the heart of my practice is a commitment to empowerment, growth, and self-trust—creating the conditions for a happier, healthier, and more connected life.
